Corn Dawgs Corn Maze
With
fall underway and days growing colder, parents are finding that their children
are spending a lot more time indoors. Pools are closed for the winter, and
children are having a harder time finding things to do other than sit inside
playing video games. Corn Dawgs is the place for these children and their
parents.
Megan
Adams, an activities manager stated, “There are so many fun activities that are
offered here at Corn Dawgs that I dare a child to come here and not have fun.”
With over 35 different activities for children of all ages, there are plenty of
things for the family to do at the maze.
Corn
Dawgs Corn Maze is nestled alongside a country road and is noticeable only when
you are right up on the entrance. The corn maze would be hard to recognize it
if it was not for the large tractor made of hay bales and flashing sign
directing you through the front gate.
When
you first arrive at the entrance gate the corn maze looks pretty bare and it
can be hard to tell that there are over 35 different activities on the land. Do
not let that fool you, because it’s all business up front and fun times in the
back!
Corn
stalks stand high as you walk through the entrance and into the back fields.
This year’s corn maze is a tribute to the Atlanta Braves baseball player
Chipper Jones. From an aerial view of the maze itself, you see Jones as well as
his number 10 carved into the seven acre plot of land with over four miles of
twists and turns.
“The
maze is fun for all during the early to evening hours of the day.” “Families
can walk through at their leisure and take as much time as needed,” says Mayson
Bythewood an employee of the maze. Bythewood also mentioned that at night, the
maze turns haunted and it’s a scary race to the finish.
The
cost for a family of four who purchase an all day pass that includes the maze,
as well as the activities is $48. Some of the activities that come with the all
day pass include hay rides, the mountain slide, and even a small petting zoo.
Corn
Dawgs Corn Maze has winter hours with even more fun with an ice rink and the
maze’s own version of American Idol called, “Corn Dawg Idol.” With the maze
only 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta, this price for a day getaway is not only
sure to make the parents of the family happy, but the children should have a
blast too!
Corn Dawgs Corn Maze is located at 955 Leone Ave
directly between Loganville and Walnut Grove along Highway 81. Customers can
get to the maze from anywhere in Atlanta via I-20, Highway 78 or Highway 316.
The maze is also found via GPS from the same address.
